We know Carpentry. In fact, we have received awards for it.

At Hayes Craft we believe in always doing our best work and delivering added value with a personable approach, where client input is viewed as an integral component of delivering our best product. We’re obsessively passionate about our work, and our mission is to help clients with all of their project requirements. Our focus is on the cutting or machining, shaping or manufacturing, and installing of natural wood, where our craftsmanship can best be showcased.

As carpenters and joiners, our skills have been developed through our hands-on approach, which can be seen in the quality of our work. Our clients can rest assured that all planning, implementation and maintenance work done by Hayes Craft, will be delivered with quality workmanship and great pride in what we do.

Hayes Craft was founded by Jason Hayes in 2003 after returning home from Europe. Having fallen in love with woodworking at school, he decided to go back to exploring the craft, with the hopes of building a successful business based on his passion!
By 2007, Jason had surrounded himself with a team of skilled joiners and carpenters (some taught over three years by Jason himself). As he can often be heard saying in the workshop, “Here at Hayes Craft, education is MAHALA! In fact, we pay you!”

Hayes Craft builds strictly to the Code of Ethics, SANS10400 (previously SAN10082), TFBA, ITC and NHBRC standards. That’s the only way to ensure superior quality and product longevity (if maintained and well looked after!).

Our objective is to build dream homes, as well as interior and exterior additions, with the utmost precision and dedication to quality craftsmanship.

We strive to be proud of our work and view new challenges as a way to add to our abundant skillset and enhance our product offering. In working this way, and with a customer-centric attitude, Hayes Craft has managed to achieve great things. While building timber-frame homes with Keith Rudd and working on the Tintswalo Atlantic (a 5-star boutique lodge), Keith won the GOLD building awards and Hayes Craft hit a silver and a bronze the year after. We have succeeded in going further and reaching new heights ever since
